CATALOGUING

• Provide union catalogs for library with multiple branch office, process information from the description and classification of documents to their review and arrangement in the storehouse. All relevant databases are maintained in the same place.
• Support catalogs in the MARC21 format by showing the attributes of fields, subfields and indicators, handle variable-length data fields, identify repeatable fields and subfields.
• Describe and manage documents of all kinds: Books, newspapers, magazines, audiovisual resources, technical documents, unpublished documents. Store, show and retrieve digital contents (text files, sounds and pictures), assign digital data files to records.
• Support catalogs according to ISBD, AACR2, TCVN 4734-89 and classification frames like DC (Dewey Classification), UDC(Universal Decimal Classification), topical classification.
• Import and export data on the basis of MARC and ISO2709, as well as MARC21XML, Dublin Core, MODS records.
• Convert all data from CDS/ISIS, ensure data safety and recovery.
• Apply authority control to ensure consistency about authors, titles, keywords,… in the MARC21 format.
• Print indexes (alphabetical indexes, subject and author indexes), spine labels, bar codes, lists of new documents in customizable format.
• Support bar-code technology and RFID, ensure bar codes' compatibility with all bar-code readers.
